TruBlue Total House Care, the national total house care franchise, is pleased to announce that James Puopolo, the owner of TruBlue of Wakefield, has been recognized with the company’s national President’s Award. This recognition comes on the heels of Puopolo’s decision to add a fence division to TruBlue of Wakefield and just before his company’s 2-year anniversary.
TruBlue Total House Care Franchise President Greg Platz said Puopolo was recognized with the President’s Award because of his strong role in the franchise system, his business success and his willingness to test new programs and services for the franchise.
“Jim has been a fantastic addition to the TruBlue family and we couldn’t be happier about the growth of his business. As a small franchise on the cusp of massive growth, it has been vital to have Jim be willing to try new programs, projects and services for us and then give us honest feedback on what we need to change moving forward. We appreciate all that Jim does for TruBlue as a whole and for his clients in the Wakefield area,” Platz said.
Puopolo opened TruBlue of Wakefield in March of 2017 and broke the franchise’s first-year sales record. He then grew the business another 50 percent from year one to year two. He said being recognized with the President’s Award is an exciting milestone as he looks to future growth.
“Being recognized is always wonderful and I’m excited about the future of TruBlue of Wakefield. I think my team, my relationship with Greg and the referrals I’m getting from my existing clients have helped me to get to where I am today and will be instrumental in my growth moving forward,” Puopolo said.
As part of that growth, Puopolo recently decided to add a fence division to TruBlue of Wakefield. Although his previous team would help clients with fence repairs and could have done fencing, it wasn’t something they had built a team to do or they were promoting. When another local business owner who was retiring approached Puopolo about buying his fence business, it got Puopolo thinking. He didn’t want to buy the business, but he realized he could hire the employees of that business and bring on a team with more than 60 years of combined fencing experience.
“The team he had built was awesome, so it was an opportunity I didn’t want to pass up. TruBlue did get requests for fences – and we do decks and railing – but fencing wasn’t an area of the business we’d focused on previously. By hiring those fencing professionals, I’ve grown my team to 12 and now we’re fully prepared to expand that part of the business. We’re the first TruBlue franchise in the company to make this a focus, so we’re excited about what this could mean for our business and for the franchise as a whole,” Puopolo said.
In addition to fencing and all of the other individual services TruBlue of Wakefield offers, TruBlue has a monthly House Care Plus program, which enables clients to hire TruBlue to provide regular, monthly maintenance. TruBlue also works with homeowners, realtors and rental property owners who need to quickly get homes move-in ready and keep them maintained and has commercial services for business clients.
